CEC is moving to a new stage of the campaign to inform the public about electronic elections

The Election Administration (EA) of Georgia moves to the new stage of informing voters about electronic elections. In addition to the public spaces and state institutions, presentation of technologies has been commenced for the representatives of business sector. The choice of today for this launch is symbolic, as February 1st marks the Global Day of Elections.

The first corporation is ‘Coca Cola Bottlers Georgia’ where the staff members got familiarized with the functioning of electronic voting technologies. The meeting with the corporation representatives was inaugurated by the CEC Chairperson. He provided the meeting participants with information pertaining to the preparatory process for the October 26 Parliamentary Elections, technological innovations as well as the EA’s efforts.

Following the presentation on the introduction of electronic voting technologies in Georgia, staff members of the ‘Coca Cola Bottlers Georgia’ took part in a simulation of voting and firsthand experienced the functioning of verification and vote counting devices.

The EA is actively preparing for the 2024 Parliamentary Elections. Providing detailed information to voters about electoral issues is one of the key priorities for the administration. Consequently, the extensive information campaigns are scheduled to be constantly conducted.
