Three persons detained at Rustavi2 support rally were sentenced to 2-month pre-trial detention . Nika Narsia, Mirian Deisadze and Kakha Gabunia are accused of assaulting a member of the parliament.

Family members demanded unconditional release of prisoners and blamed the former prime minister.

The opposition states that the detention was politically motivated.

3 detained persons are charged under Article 239 which means verbal and physical abuse, and envisages from 4 to 7 years of imprisonment.
