White House"s yellow card to Georgia - the US is closely watching the case of Rustavi2

Georgian analysts comment on the US State Department"s announcement on Rustavi2"s case. They have underlined that Georgian government should take into account the remarks of partners or the country will have problems.

The ruling party also responded to the announcement. The Justice Minister said that the statement is acceptable and the government never interferes in the   judicial processes.

Representatives of Georgian Dream say that the trial is between two entities and the government has nothing to do with it.

"Actions that give the appearance of constricting that environment, constricting media freedoms or compromising that media pluralism, are, frankly, disturbing, and especially in the lead-up to parliamentary elections. So we therefore, we do take it seriously and we’re watching it."- stated Marc C Toner, Deputy Spokesperson of the US State Department yesterday.
