IndiGo Airline announced an increase in the frequency of its direct flights between New Delhi and Tbilisi

IndiGo Airline, Asia’s largest low-cost carrier, announced an increase in the frequency of its direct flights between New Delhi and Tbilisi.

In particular, from August 16, the airline will operate daily flights on the New Delhi-Tbilisi-New Delhi route.

“Considering the activity of the private sector as well as the dynamics of the growth of tourist flows from India, we have negotiated with the Indian airline to increase the frequencies. As a result, instead of the existing 3 flights, the flight from New Delhi to Tbilisi will be performed daily. This decision is a demonstration of the growing interest in Georgia and its tourism opportunities in the international tourist market”, - said Mariam Kvrivishvili, the Deputy Minister of Economy.

IndiGo is the largest airline in Asia by passenger numbers and fleet size as of 2023. The airline operates over 600 destinations, underscoring its significant role in regional and international air travel.
