Judge of "Rustavi 2" case gets involved in a scandal- Urtmelidze`s mother accused of attempted murder

Tamaz Urtmelidze who is the judge of Rustavi 2 the case, possibly may have to attend court hearings in the near future where the accused would be his mother. In The 2014, incident gives answers to all the questions that were posed regarding Urtmelidze`s decisions- the judge"s mother"s hit her son-in-law with an ax.

It is expected that teh investigation will charge the mother of judge Tamaz Urtmelidze in a few days, a year and eight months after the incident. Urtmelidze` brother in law was notified about it by investigative departmentthis morning. The case relates to an incident that occurred on January 7, 2014, when as Utrmelidze`s brother -in-law claims Mdinara Giorgobiani hit him with an ax.

Thedispute between Valery Silagadze and the Urtmeldze family started after Silagadze`s wife, Daredjan Urtmelidze, died. Silagadze asked the Urtmelidze family to acknoledge his only child as a sole inheritor of his wive`s apartment , which was declined by the Urtmelidzes.

On January 7 Mdinara Giorgobiani, her son-in-law andthe child were in the apartment , where the dispute between Mdinaradze and her son -in-law resulted in Silagadze beeing hit by his mother-in-law.

Afterwards, the wounded with an ax Valerie Silagadze was taken to the hospital, and Mdinara Giorgobiani was taken to the police. Valeri Silagadze and his child, who witnessed the attack were interrogated as witnesses on the same day.

The case of Judge Urtmelidze`s mother which was put on the shelf was activated at the end of July 2015 a few days before Urtmelidze issued ruling on Rustavi 2 property seizure.

For the second time, the representatives of lawenforcment agencies came to the house of Urtmelidze`s brother-in-law already in September and took him to police where he was acknowledged as a victim a year and 9 months after the incident. This date coincides with the date when Rustavi 2`s partner "TV-Sakartvelo"comany`s shares were seized.
