A public opinion poll published by the Georgian Opinion Research Business International [GORBI] showed that if the parliamentary elections were held this week, the Georgian Dream would receive 59.3% of the votes.
The responses after allocation were distributed as follows:
Georgian Dream - 59.3%
United National Movement / Strategy Aghmashenebeli -13.1%
Coalition Lelo / Ana Dolidze - For People / Freedom Square -5.8%
Coalition Ahali / Girchi More Freedom / Droa - 5.5%
For Georgia - 4.8%
Coalition Alliance of Georgian Patriots and Alt-Info - 3%
European Georgia - 2.2%
New political centre Girchi - 2.1%
Other - 4.2%
According to these results, the Georgian Dream party will secure 107 seats in the 150-member Parliament, the opposition parties together will obtain 43 seats.
The poll, commissioned by Imedi TV, was conducted between July 24 and August 4 and involved 1 700 respondents across the country, interviewed through face-to-face interview method. The margin of error amounts to +/- 3%.
