President of Georgia has launched consultations with political parties, NGOs and Diplomatic corps regarding to Rustavi2.

Giorgi Margvelashvili is meeting with the non-parliamentary opposition, he has already met with Free Democrats.

" The situation in the country is very difficult and two political forces- Georgian Dream and Untied National movement are trying to  escalate the process, this is  unacceptable for the state. The  government has a huge responsibility. Freedom of media is very important,   regardless of how biased Rustavi2 is. Today this broadcasting company is independent from the government,"- said Irakli Chikovani.

Later the president will meet with journalists.
