NGOs request to launch an independent investigation on the secret surveillance .
"There is a suspicion that these records were obtained illegally. Itis a crime and should be investigated. If these recordings are illegal then concrete individuals should be held responsible and the political message should be delivered, that the government will not allow it and is not going to fight against possible crimes with eavesdropping,"- Ana Natsvlishvili, head of GYLA stated.
Eka Gigauri, an Executive Director of Transparency International - Georgia said that even if the tapes were legally obtained ,their publication via public space is an offense.
