At a special briefing, Rustavi 2 Director General Nika Gvaramia once again explained that Rustavi 2 will protect its editorial policies and freedom of expression, but the station strictly dissociates from any violent or revolutionary scenario.

“First of all, we would like to say that we strictly dissociate from any violent scenario. Our editorial politics is not related with any political force’s goals and we only aim to fulfill journalists’ obligations that primarily imply objective coverage of developments.

Any kind of violence is categorically unacceptable for us, no matter who the initiator is… In case of emerging such threat, the government will be responsible for any consequences” says the statement.
