Nika Gvaramia, leader of the Coalition for Change, was arrested. Police officers handcuffed Gvaramia near the Rustavi Penitentiary No. 12, where he had gone voluntarily.

At today’s court hearing, the prosecution requested that the preventive measure imposed on Nika Gvaramia – a GEL 30,000 bail - be replaced with imprisonment. The judge granted the prosecution’s request, and Gvaramia’s bail was replaced with detention.

Gvaramia had been subject to a 30,000 GEL bail as a preventive measure, with a 50-day period to pay it. This period expired on June 7.
