Operations at the Kazbegi customs checkpoint remain uninterrupted, reads the statement, issued by the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance.

“The Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance would like to inform you that the import and export of goods by international shipping companies through the Kazbegi customs checkpoint, as well as customs control procedures for individuals crossing the state border through the aforementioned customs checkpoints, are proceeding smoothly and at full capacity.

We would like to remind you that on July 31 of this year, the alarm system located in the Devdoraki Gorge was activated.

In order to ensure security, as a result of coordinated work with relevant state agencies, the employees and passengers of the Kazbegi customs checkpoint were transferred to a protected/safe area”, - reads the statement.
