Our main task is to heal the sector, for which it is necessary, on one hand, to strengthen control, and on the other hand, to create conditions that will give private companies a better opportunity to operate. Such a statement made today the Minister of Infrastructure after a meeting held with representatives of construction companies and commercial banks.

According to Revaz Sokhadze, an active dialogue has been ongoing with the companies over recent months, and numerous meetings and discussions have taken place.

He highlighted Government’s decisions, which include announcing state tenders at market prices, establishing new prices, and resolving the issue of indexation.

“These changes are truly revolutionary for the sector. Ultimately, in the direction of infrastructure, we will obtain a quality product on time, which is very important”, - said Revaz Sokhadze.

As he noted, with these steps, the Ministry aims to establish fair rules of relationship, strengthen the private sector, and implement infrastructure projects more efficiently.
