New compound feed production enterprise opens in Karaleti

Lasha Dolidze, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, attended the opening ceremony of a new compound feed production facility, “Agro Universal Georgia” LLC, in the village of Karaleti, Gori Municipality.

In his address, Dolidze underscored the importance of government support, private-sector initiative, and cooperation with international partners, highlighting their role in advancing the adoption of modern technologies and fostering the development of a competitive Georgian manufacturing sector. The opening of this new facility is a good example of how government support, private initiative, and international expertise can create new opportunities for agricultural development.

The development of “Agro Universal Georgia” is a clear example of the tangible impact of government support, contributing to the establishment of a modern production facility that strengthens domestic manufacturing and expands the availability of locally produced goods on the Georgian market.

Our goal is to ensure that entrepreneurs have the opportunity to grow their businesses, adopt modern technologies, increase production, and manufacture competitive products”, - said Lasha Dolidze.

“Agro Universal Georgia” LLC has been a beneficiary of the Rural Development Agency since 2023. The Government has supported the company’s development through several programmes, with the Agency’s total co-financing amounting to GEL 1,178,833.

The financing supported completing the processing facility, establishing a livestock and poultry feed production plant, procuring and installing equipment, and developing the necessary infrastructure. The Agency’s co-financing under this component totalled GEL 678,833. The production infrastructure of “Agro Universal Georgia” LLC was developed in cooperation with international partners. The facility is equipped with machinery manufactured by the Turkish company Alapala, while its production processes utilise premixes, feed formulations, and technological expertise provided by the Hungarian company Agrofeed.
