Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia is on an official visit to Belgrade, where he will participate in the first, founding Conference of Speakers of Parliaments of EU Candidate Countries.

As he noted while speaking with the media, it is welcomed that the speakers of parliaments from candidate countries will have a platform where they can share the experiences that countries have in the European integration process.

"We fully welcome having a platform for the speakers of parliaments of candidate countries where we can share the experience, both positive and negative, that countries have in the European integration process.

I am glad that today this is a reality and the first such conference is being held, where the platform of the parliament speakers of EU candidate countries will be founded, and we will have the opportunity to discuss how we envision the future work of this platform, both at the level of parliament speakers and at the level of sectoral committees", - said Shalva Papuashvili.
