Officers of the Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained two foreign citizens wanted by Interpol under the Red Notice in Adjara.
The detainees were wanted for various severe crimes, including kidnapping, rape, and bodily harm committed with the aim of extortion, at the request of German law enforcement agencies.
The detainees crossed the Georgian border before they were declared as wanted.
Currently, extradition procedures provided for by law are underway against the detainees.
