As a result of various police operations, officers of the Vake-Saburtalo Police Main Division of Tbilisi Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested two individuals on charges of illegal purchase and storage of large quantities of narcotics, facilitation of their sale, and illegal planting and cultivation of plants containing narcotics.

During a search of the defendants and search held in their residential homes, law enforcement officers also seized 67 packages of "tetrahydrocannabinol", the plant "cannabis" and "marijuana" from various locations as evidence.

The police also seized materials necessary for packaging narcotics.

The investigation is underway under Articles 260, 260-4 and 265-1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, envisioning up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
