The comment with regard to Brussels attack was followed by a scandal in Russia. Parliament"s Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Alexei Pushkov, instead of expressing condolences criticized the NATO secretary-general onTwitter .
"While Stoltenberg is fighting against the Russian threat and deploying troops in Latvia,people are blasted in front of his nose ," -tweeted Pushkov.

Russian President`s pressspeaker refused to comment on such a statement.

Vladimir Putin has responded to the terrorist attacks in Brussels. The Russian president expressed his condolences to the people of Belgium and called the explosions a "barbaric act".
