The European Commission presented a new package of proposals to the European Council . The proposal will improve existing mechanisms of suspending visa-free regime. The Council will discuss and most likely support it.

" Visa liberalization is profitable, but there are some risks. Visa-free travel envisages short term stay for tourists. But today we already have a suspension mechanism, which will be activated in case of violations. We present a new package, which is aimed to improve the existing mechanism, "- said Klaas Dijkof, a Minister of Security and Justice .

According to the Czech Foreign Minister - Lubomír Zaorálek Georgia will succeed in the process of visa liberalization.

"Georgia implemented requirements and we are obliged to keep promise and start visa liberalization process. I am sure that Georgia can show good results,"- said Lubomír Zaorálek .
