Metropolitan Dimitri of Batumi mase a first comments on the fact of detention of the head of the Property Management Department of the Patriarchate, Father Giorgi Mamladze by the Chief Prosecutor"s Office.

"We have information about the fact, the investigation is ongoing, we trust the law enforcement authorities and unconditionally accept the decision to investigate," - told Rustavi 2 Metropolitan Dimitri Shiolashvili, who is now in Berlin, together with the Patriarch

Metropolitan said that the head of the Patriarch`s security department, Joseph OKhanashvili was present in Berlin and performed his duties.

Father Giorgi Mamladze was detained on Friday morning at the airport in Tbilisi.The Prosecutor`s Office does not comment on the motives of the cleric`s arrest.
