A special briefing has been held at the Prosecutor"s Office. Irakli Shotadze has made an announcement on the detainment of Giorgi Mamaladze, a Head of the Property Management Department of the Patriarchate.

According to Irakli Shotadze the detainee Does not plead guilty . According to him, the Prosecutor’s Office gas audio-video recordings, which have been obtained on the basis of the court ruling, however, due to sensitivity of the case, the Prosecutor’s Office believes that would be unreasonable to publicize evidences.

According to Irakli Shotadze, the criminal case has not been classified as secret .

According to the recent information, G. Mamaladze was going to visit Germany, where the patriarch is being treated . The Archpriest needed the poisonous substance before leaving Georgia.

During Giorgi Mamaladze"s search at Tbilisi International Airport poisonous substance- sodium cyanide has been seized.

At the same time, handmade firearm and 6mMilitary cartridges were kept at the detainee"s house.
