Occupying regime closes borders - the population of occupied villages will not be able to cross border at checkpoints connecting to Zugdidi. The government of the unrecognized republic of Abkhazia intends to close down Khurcha -Nabakevi border on February 22 , and starting from March 3 to close down all the border crossing points , the local people use on a daily basis. Appropriate sanctions will be enforced. In the case the checkpoints are closed, Gali district population will have to travel 25 to 35 kilometers more in order to get to Zugdidi.

Official Tbilisi is waiting for the upcoming meeting in Gali. The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civil Equality, said that the Georgian side is doing everything to ensure that the decision of the occupants`s government is not carried out.

The parliamentary minority calls on the .government to undertake timely actions.

In this situation, the ruling team blames in the situation the former government. The majority plans to provide the information on the decision to close down the so-called border to the international community.
