The ruling team is waiting for the conclusion of the Venice Commission on constitutional amendments. Mariam Jashi, Chairperson of the Education, Science and Culture Committee, states that the draft law was drawn up based on consensus.
"Although there have been a lot of criticism from the opponents, there is general consensus among the commission members. This is an opportunity to significantly strengthen the Supreme Law of our country. Recommendations have been worked out, and we will certainly wait for the Venice Commission for the final decisions,"-
Mariam Jashma said.
The bill will be initiated by the Constitutional Commission from the next week. A new commission will be set up, which will organize the general public discussion of the new edition across Georgia.
