We think our approach is correct - Mdinaradze responds to criticism of Venice Commission

The ruling team responds to the part of the initial report of the Venice Commission on constitutional amendments concerning the judicial system. The Venice Commission opposes a constitutional record that limits the rights of the Constitutional Court.

Mamuka Mdinaradze, the Chairman of the Georgian Dream faction, says that the record was made based on the existing risks.

Mdinaradze explains that this recommendation of the Venice Commission is not mandatory for execution, however, he said, consultations with the Commission experts will continue.

According to Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, the parliamentary majority has legal opinions regarding remarks that will be presented to Venice experts.
