In the framework of the visit to the United States, the Public Defender held meetings in the UN office in New York, Ucha Nanuashvili also met with representatives of the Freedom Houses, Human Rights Watch and the International Center for Transitional Justice.

The public defender informed the international organizations working in the field of human rights on human rights situation in Georgia today ,the administration of justice in terms of the challenges, the alleged facts of ill-treatment by law enforcement and delayed investigation of these facts.

The Public Defender also discussed the security issues, the constitutional reform process and the situation in the prison.
