The ruling team is planning to approve the new edition of the constitution. Georgian Dream will approve the Constitution of Georgia in the last hearing at the session scheduled next week.

Today, the ruling party has released an official statement that all the resources of negotiations with the opposition have been exhausted and they are not going to give in anything to the opposition.

Almost 20 parties argue that the Georgian Dream coalition has cut down almost every way to change the government through elections.

According to the draft Constitution, which the Georgian Dream plans to adopt in a few weeks, the people will not be able to elect the president directly, the barrier is reduced to three percent, but political parties will not be able to create blocks. Also, in 2020 the majoritarian system will not be abolished.

The Venice Commission is not so strict in the official estimates, however, European experts do not see the necessity of continuing the discussion around the Constitution of Georgia.

The president does not advise theruling team to adopt the constitution without consensus and calls for a re-examination of the document.

So far, it is not clear how the opposition will express its protest - by using the parliamentary tribune or not attending the session at all.
