According to the data released by the Audit Office, "Georgian Dream" is in the lead in receiving donations in August. Moreover, donations from the ruling team exceed the amount of money received by all other parties together several times.

The opposition believes that the main reason intimidation of businesses and deals that the companies have struck with the state. Nika Melia, the chairman of the UNM political council, says that former PM Bidzina Ivanishvili is fighting against "National Movement" and spends a lot of money on it.

"Bidzina Ivanishvili believes that money is everything and people are nothing. We think that people are everything and money is nothing, "- said Nika Melia.

According to Levan Tarkhnishvili, member of the political party "European Georgia - Movement for Freedom", nobody believes that Georgia is in such good condition economically that everyone wants to transfer money to "Georgian Dream".

"There is some pressure on the business sector that does not allow them to donate and fund the opposition parties and we have had such cases that the businessmen ha ve expressed desire, but then at the last stage stepped back,"- Levan Tarkhnishvili said.

Khatuna Samnidze, chairwoman of the "Republican Party of Georgia" states that the team in power is financed by a group of businessmen who change their opinions according to the change of government. In the end, she thinks that all decisions are made in unilaterally.
