One of the main topics in the frames of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism in Ergneti was the prohibition of teaching of the Georgian language in Akhalgori. As it is known, those citizens of Georgia who reside on the occupied territories face some problems.
Murad Jioev, a representative of the separatist government of occupied Tskhinvali region, says that there will be no restriction on teaching of the Georgian language. According to him, the study of Georgian language in Akhalgori district is not forbidden.
"As for learning in Leningori district schools, we have explained in detail that learning in native language is not prohibited. It is about the Leningori district schools that have joined the common system of South Ossetia education. Today there are 6 Georgian schools and educational processes in these schools are going on in Georgian, but this year, starting from the first class lessons of the Ossetian language will start, then the English language will be added, so no hours will be reduced in the Georgian language lessons. The lessons of the Ossetian language will be added, "- said Jioyev.
The statement was made by Kakhaber Kemoklidze, deputy director of the State Analytical Department of State Security Service.
"We must observe this process, because this issuei is very important and very sensitive," - said Kakhaber Kemoklidze.
