Video footage related to Lasha Tordia was allegedly released with the involvement of the Interior Ministry," Eka Gigauri, executive director of the NGO Transparency International Georgia,drew the conclusion from the personal data inspection report.
This report was published after the study of release of video recordings related to Lasha Tordia, which states that the "P.A.M Club" is resposible and that is an administrative offense. Also, as a result of the inspection it was found out that the company gave video recordings to the third person only once.
Eka Gigauri points out that after the conclusion of the report, the suspicions have been further strengthened that the MIA might be involved in spreadng of the video.
Tamar Kintsurashvili, executive director of media development fund, said that the third sector requires to investigate how the record got in social networks. She calls on the personal data inspection to study the fact of violation of the rights by the state.
Today, eight non-governmental organizations have released a joint statement calling on the Parliament, MIA and Prosecutor`s Office to express interest in spreading video recordings related to Lasha Tordia.
