The OSCE has opened an election observation mission for the upcoming local self-government elections. The main group consisting of 14 experts will work in Tbilisi. 22 experts will arrive to Georgia and observe the process in different regions.

For the day of the election, 350 observers will arrive from the OSCE countries .

The mission will monitor all election procedures and make the first assessment the next day after the polling day. In a few weeks, the observation mission will publish a final report that will include the results of monitoring of media outlets.
