The rally of the "United National Movement" at the "Cartu Bank" belonging to the former Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili was the reason of confrontation .

Law enforcers assembled at the bank prior to the time announce d by the UNM. The situation was strained after the opposition put the photos of Ivanishvili"`s entourage on the façade of the bank building. Participants demanded to publicise the Cartu Bank`s revenue, because one of the major charges against the former prime minister was illegal revenues and money laundering.

The verbal confrontation continued even after the demonstration ended , when the head of patrol police Teimuraz Kupatadze appeared on the territory. The leaders of the "National Movement" demanded from him to react o physical assault of the MP Datukashvili .

According to media reports, "Cartu Bank" disagrees with the opposition`s accusations and plans to file a lawsuit. The opposition, along with supporters, plans to hold protest rallies at Ivanishvili`s bank in the future. Until then, all the documents will be collected, which, according to them, are linked to the banks illlegal income.
