Political demarche - Gia Volski accuses the president of speaking in the language of ultimatum

The parliamentary majority states that the fact that the President of Georgia, together with opposition parties has created an alternative document of constitutional amendments , is a political demarche.

 

Gia Volski, one of the leaders of the ruling party, states that Giorgi Margvelashvili confronts the ruling team with certain political groups.

 

The parliamentary majority says that the constitutional amendments will be adopted by the third reading and they will overcome President"s veto.

The proposal of the president and opposition parties envisages abolition of the majoritarian system, reduction the threshold of up to 3% and leaving the Security Council a constitutional body. Among the demands is strengthening of parliamentary supervision and judicial independence.
