"Transparency International" responds to public accusations ofMPs from the ruling team. The case concerns one of the studies of the non-governmental organizations, mentioning specific facts when the Georgian Dream MPs deputies in parallel occupy positions in particular business companies and thus violate the Georgian legislation.
After the publication of the survey, "Georgian Dream" MPs blamed NGO experts in incompetence.
The Executive Director of Transparency International - Georgia assesses the statements of the ruling party representatives as a targeted campaign against the organization.
"It is aimed at staining the Transparency International`s reputation and there is a lot of reasons for this. Because we are working on a lot of sensitive issues, we are going to publish an account on purchases and other activities of the ruling party. None of the MPs have spoken about the specific facts and we are talking about the requirements of the law and this is the most important thing here, "- Eka Gigauri said.
Transparency International Georgia states that the organization has studied all the details and only then published the results of the research.
