The Russian Federation continues occupation of two historic regions of Georgia, thus violating not one international obligations - addressed the Prime Minister of Georgia the world leaders at the UN General Assembly. According to Giorgi Kvirikashvili, the Government of the country fulfills the ceasefire agreement thoroughly. while Russia has not taken any steps yet.

"According to the Prime Minister, Moscow has further intensified the policy of occupation of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions by signing ofthe so-called" integration agreements "and the goal is military, political, economic and social annexation of the occupied territories.

"The UN members are well aware that the Russian Federation continues to occupy two historic regions of Georgia`s sovereign territory, thus violating all international obligation, including doesens of resolutionns of the Security Council and the UN General Assembly.

"In early 2017 the Russian Federation actively invoked the occupation and factual annexation of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region / South Ossetia and signed " the so called "agreements on integration" so that Russia`s military, political, economic and social systems would subjugate the occupied territories of Georgia. The militarization of both regions has been activated.

"The Russian Federation has intensified the occupation lines through wires, trenches, so-called border marks and other artificial barriers, and the fence separates some of the properties.

The Prime Minister thanked the leaders of those countries who support Georgia`s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

"I want to thank the world leaders who emphasize that it is necessary to speed up the peaceful resolution of the conflicts and reiterate that they support Georgia`s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

"The Government of Georgia provides new tools for confidence building with our fellow citizens living on the other side of the occupation line." Our strong decision is to provide all the benefits of the European agenda for the citizens living on the other side of the occupation lines and offer them health care, education and other social benefits.

"Despite our challenges, Georgia plays a significant role in Euro-Atlantic security, our partnership with the United States is of great importance for our development and stability, and our goal is to deepen this strategic partnership." The European Union recognizes in its global strategy our contribution as a prosperous, peaceful and stable democracy "- Giorgi Kvirikashvili said.
