The Georgian Dream`s proposal to lower the threshold to 3%, and allowing blocks for 2020 elections only and the transition from 2024 to the proportional system is unacceptable for non-parliamentary opposition.

These proposals of the Speaker of Parliament have caused irritation of the opposition.

The parties explain that the government does not have a real compromise. Because of the maintenance of the majoritarian system and lack of consensus, the opposition is waiting for a critical conclusion from the Venice Commission.

The inter-party group plans to discuss Irakli Kobakhidze`s proposal and are meeting for the consideration of the draft constitution today.
