President`s administration responds to the Venice Commission`s preliminary conclusion. The Commission published a preliminary conclusion on constitutional amendmentsyesterday, which is assessed as positive in the ruling team. According to the majority members, the Venice Commission welcomes the current version of constitutional amendments.

In the presidential administration, the commission`s conclusion is perceived as critical. Giorgi Margvelashvili and the opposition specter respond to the document`s main point, according to which the proportional electoral system will be postponed to October 2024 and which makes the Commission very sad.

Ana Dolidze, the parliamentary secretary of the president of Georgia, said that the transition to the proportional system has become the main barrier to the consensus.
