"The document we have received is evaluated by the Venice Commission as a document based on the principles of democracy, the legal state, and fundamental rights. The Venice Commission assesses this document as a step forward for Georgia"s democratic development, " - The statement was made by the Prime Minister of Georgia at the government session today.

Giorgi Kvirikashvili spoke about the draft of the constitutional amendments and noted that the document is received as a result of public discussions.

"This document was developed as a result of unprecedented, general public discussions and engagement. Unfortunately, the opposition tries to demonstrate that this is a one-party document, " said Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
