Political parties are preparing to meet with Giorgi Margvelashvili. Representatives of non-parliamentary opposition are going to the president`s administration with specific proposals. Members of the Labor Party are demanding Giorgi Margvelashvili to resign, create a crisis in the country and consider the public opinion in constitutional amendments.
"President should not only meet with them and deliver to them once again a little lecture on democracy, sovereignty and international norms of human rights, but , if necessary, to resign from the post, to create a political crisis, make the whole world talk, call on the people to come out in the streets. Otherwise , he will be remebered as a President who deprived the people of the right to elect the President, "- said Labor Party leader Shalva Natelashvili.
The Georgian National Democratic Party believes that the parliamentary majority seeks to win the president`s favor to resolve relations with the Venice Commission.
The non-parliamentary opposition says that the president`s principled position is important.
