The Georgian Dream nominated the Ozurgeti mayoral candidate on the recommendation of the former prime minister`s brother, Adiko Ivanishvili. Adiko Ivanishvili publicly stated in Guria that Ozurgeti mayoral candidate Beglar Sioridze is associated with him and the party named him on his recommendation.
Beglar Sioridze refrained from commenting on Ivanishvili`s statement to "Courier".
Due to the candidacy of Beglar Sioridze, the confrontation in the local organization of "Georgian Dream" has already begun before his public nomiination. This decision became the cause of open confrontation in the party. Konstantine Sharashenidze, the founder of the Georgian Dream`s local organization, and 5 other leaders of the party were expelled from the party.
For Konstantin Sharashenidze it is not clear why the Georgian Dream coalition sacrifised party founders because of Beglar Sioridze, who supported and financed the "National Movement" in 2012.
Konstantine Sharashenidze is now a competitor of Beglar Sioridze. He meets voters with the status of Ozurgeti mayoral independent candidate.
The former member of "Georgian Dream" does not hide the fact that the brother of former prime minister, Bidzina Ivanishvili.has an informal influence on the party.
"Georgian Dream" is convinced that the party is not weakened by pre-election noisy changes and loss of leaders.
Political game of Bidzina Ivanishvili`s brother - split in party is linked with name of Adiko Ivanishvili
