Chairman of Parliament will not attend meeting with President because of his visit to Venice

The Chairman of the Parliament will not attend the meeting with the President of Georgia because of his visit to Venice. Irakli Kobakhidze left for Europe to attend the meeting in the Venice Commission several hours ago.

Parliament speaker is meeting with European experts several days before the final conclusion on constitutional reform of the Venice commission.

Chairman of the Parliament speaks about the meeting of the leaders of the ruling party with Giorgi Margvelashvili.

"Expectation is of course positive. Based on the fact that we already have a preliminary positive conclusion. Discussion about the Constitution is over. As for the negotiations between the majority and the president today, it will deal with two issues that are in line with our and Venice Commission agreement, "= said Irakli Kobakhidze.

The Commission plans to publicize its opinions by the end of the week.
