The South-Eastern European Defense Ministerial continues in Batumi. The purpose of the Ministerial is to consolidate a cooperation between the countries of the region in order to promote security and peace in the region as well as the integration into the Euro-Atlantic structures.

A Minister of Defense of Georgia drew attention to the importance of using international formats.

"Today"s challenges, which exist in the whole world oblige all members and partners of the NATO to be strong supporters of one another, to have unity with the strategic objectives associated with the democratic development, stability and security of our countries," said Levan Izoria.
