Members of the National Movement, who were released by the City Court until October 17, remembered the details of their arrest at the rally held at the City Council. Members of the opposition are talking about physical assault and illegal arrest by the police.
"I had a very important meeting with the population yesterday, which did not take place and thus they opened the way to my competitor, who hosted some people in Gegeshidze garden in Tbilisi. This person, the Vake candidate of "Georgian Dream" has a debt of 300,000 dollars of "Cartu Bank", and only salary is fixed in his revenues. He has to work for 75 years to pay out Bidzina Ivanishvili`s debt, "- Kote Ioseliani said.
Mikheil Kakauridze, the Gldani majoritarian candidate says that the detention was organized by the representative of the State Security Service. Tornike Bikashvili, Samgori district majoritarian candidate notes that he received physical injuries during the detention process.
Tornike Macharashvili, a Lagodekhi candidate from the "National Movement" was among the detainees, who said after the release that he had bruises as a result of detention which was fixed by medical report.
As a reason for postponing the meeting, the judge named the claim of evidences of administrative offense. The investigation accuses them of disobedience to police and hooliganism.
The attorney of the members of the "National Movement" says they were demanding at the court session that the police provided evidence which they could not. Giorgi Oniani estimates that the aim of the detention of party members was to discredit them.
The National Movement protested against the transfer of land plots in the centers of Tbilisi by the city council to Bidzina Ivanishvili`s company .
