The Defense and Security Conference will be opened tomorrow in Batumi, which will be attended by the chief commander of the country, the head of government and other senior politicians.

James Appathurai is in Batumi. The NATO Secretary General`s representative made a statement for the media. The main topic of the Defense and Security conference will be NATO-Georgia integration, security and reforms of the Georgian Armed Forces.

"I"m glad to be here. I know that the Secretary General is interested in the results of the conference, we will talk about security issues in the region, Georgia`s future and international relations, including NATO. I am glad that I have the opportunity to meet with the Prime Minister and the three most important Ministers for the NATO -Ministers for Foreign Affairs, Defense and Euro-Atlantic Integration.

Minister of Defense of Georgia spoke about the importance of security conference. Levan Izoria noted that the sides will focus on the challenges existing in the region.
