Presidents of Georgia and Italy discussed bilateral relations

Giorgi Margvelashvili pays an official visit to Italy. The welcoming ceremony was held in Rome today. The topic of the meeting was bilateral relations between Georgia and Italy and development of international cooperation.

Giorgi Margvelashvili thanked the Italian President for supporting Georgia"s sovereignty and territorial integrity and contributing to the EU Monitoring Mission.

The sides also discussed energy cooperation issues, including the TAP prospects of the trans-pipeline project and the role of Georgia in this project.
