Georgian citizens deported from Ukraine are going to start a legal battle. The deported people are Mikheil Saakashvili`s driver, the former head of his security and the instructor of the National Guard of Ukraine. Mikheil Abzianidze, one of the detainees, said he had a right to live in Ukraine, but he said that when he was brought to the border, he was given a passport where his residence permit had been abolished. In addition, he had been deported and banned to enter the country for three years.
As for another deported Davit Makhishvili, the Prosecutor"s Office of Ukraine has started another procedure against him. They are looking for militants who will testify against Mikhail.
"Ukraine has been working hard to see some individuals who were fighting with me in the anti-terrorist operation zone two years ago. That they had to write irrevocable complaints against me as if I did not fulfill the order, did not obey orders , arbitrarily conducted operations, etc. Accordingly, they want to start a criminal case, "- Davit Makhishvili said.
The layer of the deported persons in parallel started legal actions. Beka Basilaia has addressed several agencies. He does not exclude filing the case even to the European Court.
"They were deported against the background of inhumane treatment. They were physically and verbally insulted, "- Beka Basilaia said.
According to him, the investigation should start because a very serious crimes has been committed against Georgian citizens on the territory of Ukraine.
Mikheil Saakashvili has addressed today the General Prosecutor of Ukraine Yuri Luchenko. The former governor of Odessa filed a statement in connection with illegal kidnapping and deportation of three Georgians.
According to the leader of the "New Forces Movement", the Ukrainian legislation and international commitments of the country have been blatantly violated.
