So called Black money in politics - mutual accusations between opposition and government

Local self-government elections Audit service does not exclude the existence of black money. The Head of Financial Activity Monitoring Service of Political Parties confirms that there are suspicions about the so-called "black money turnover and 14 people have already been interviewed to reveal the facts and 31 are expected to be interviewed,.

Bidzina Ivanishvili`s former adviser, Gia Khukhashvili, is convinced that there are undeclared funds in Georgian politics and the government is using this practice too. Khukhashvili expects more black money in Georgian politics during parliamentary elections. Khukhashvili thinks that this will be Russian money.

The chairman of the parliament does not deny the use of black money in the local self-government elections However, Irakli Kobakhidze claims that the opposition uses the undeclared funds.

National Movement and European Georgia imposed responsibility on the government In connection with the black money, and claim that some parties are financed from Moscow through the support of the Georgian Dream.

Nino Burjanadze responded to the issue. The chairman of the Democratic Movement says that her party has not received the so called " black money" for the pre-election campaign.
