The EU Ambassador made the first comment on the October 21 self-government elections.
Janos Herman shares the conclusions made by OSCE and ODIHR about the conduct of the elections , although the diplomat points to violations, facts of violence and use of administrative resources.
"We agree with the preliminary conclusion prepared by the OSCE and ODIHR, we share their opinion that the elections were peaceful and decisive. The OSCE referred to violations that in some cases were related to violence, and in most cases the use of administrative resources. Of course, we also pay attention to this. We are sure that the Georgian government will do its best to find out exactly what happened. It"s important that the conclusions are made after the elections and the shortcomings are improved, " - said Janos Herman.
