The debate on salary policy took place at the sitting of the Finance and Budget Committee. The opposition members asked questions to Giorgi Kakauridze, the deputy finance minister, who presented the 2018 budget project. He talked about the labor remuneration law in public institutions.

"Payroll policy should be regulated in the country and the law of remuneration in public institutions envisages this," - said Giorgi Kakauridze.

Giorgi Kakauridze responded by saying that restrictions on supplements and bonuses concerns from January 1, 2018 the ministers, deputies and staff members of the law enforcement agencies.

According to Giorgi Kakauridze, the main goal of the labor remuneration law in public institutions is to remove supplements and bonuses in the country, which the opposition members say will be replaced with awards.

"Supplements and bonuses will be abolished, but there will be awards, this is written in this law," - Khatuna Gogorishvili said.

According to the Deputy Finance Minister, the 2018 budget does not  envisage  pension increase. At today"s sitting of the Committee on Finance and Budget, the opposition demanded to answer why the pension is not growing next year.
