The final decision of the European Court on Vano Merabishvili`s case.will be announced on November 28, The corresponding letter was received from the Grand Chamber of the Strasbourg Court by the former Prime Minister`s lawyers today.

Last year, European judges found a violation of Article 18 of the European Convention against Merabishvili stating that detention of the former prime minister had a secret purpose.

Merabishvili`s attorneys are convinced that if the decision of the section is in force, he should be released immediately.

The Minister of Justice Tea Tsulukiani said today that Strasbourg"s decision can not affect the release of Merabishvili from prison.

Vano Merabishvili"s lawyer believes that the government is facing a difficult political decision. Besides Strasbourgs decision, the reason for the release of the former prime minister is early release.

When the Early Release Commission will discuss the case of Merabishvili is still unknown.

According to the lawyer, Vano Merabishvili is going to stay in Georgia and engage in active politics in case of release.
