Turkish Ambassador Zeky Levent Gumrukchu completed 4 years of work in Georgia. Mikheil Janelidze held a farewell meeting with him yesterday.

The Minister thanked the Ambassador for his contribution to further strengthening of relations between the two countries.The sides discussed the partnership between Georgia and Turkey.

"In the last 4 years we have a lot of achievements in Turkey and Georgia. We have created a high-level strategic cooperation council. Turkey"s support for Georgia"s territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as Euro-Atlantic aspirations has further strengthened. Turkey is one of Georgia`s strongest supporters. In addition, we help the Georgian side to get prepared for the future membership in the Alliance. We have achieved a lot, but there is even greater potential in terms of cooperation between our countries, "said Zeki Levent Gumrukchu.
