The fragments of the Berlin Wall were installed on the European Square. The wall will a symbol for restoration of territorial integrity of Georgia indicating that everything is possible and the main thing is patience. The announcement was made by the German ambassador at the ceremony.

The event was attended by the Prime Minister. The part of the wall was handed over to Giorgi Kvirkashvili during his official visit to Germany as a symbol of friendship between the two countries.

"I"m very surprised that Eduard Shevardnadze`s picture did not get into this exhibition, because the role of the Foreign Minister of the then Soviet Union and later the President of Georgia was significant in this event of world importance," - Giorgi Kvirikashvili said.

The Ambassador of Georgia to Germany, the current and newly elected mayors of Tbilisi, members of the City Council and other officials.also participated in the ceremony.
